I called the Craighead County Heath Dept on May 29th to see what the requirements are for getting a copy of my birth certificate. I was told on the phone..I needed my divers license, be there by 3:45 and it could be cash or debit card to pay the $12 fee. I took off work early and got there at 3:42 and told them I need a copy of my birth certificate. She asked me if I had cash and I told her the lady on the phone had told me cash or card. She told me they had already made the deposit and she couldn't help me unless I had cash... read more
