Dr Shapiro checked my labs, reviewed Cscans (twice I went to ER, given morphine & sent home) so I made appt with Dr Shapiro. At first appt , Dr Shapiro looked at Cscans ordered tests (Ultrasound of kidneys, plus Nuclear Medicine Test of bladder function & flow) which showed my bladder sphincter was not functioning to release urine, causing terrible swelling & pain. Dr. Shapiro is very knowledgeable and took time to explain to me what was happening inside my body. His office staff was warm and accommodating and the wait to see the doctor was fairly short.
Dr. Shapiro has become more than a Nephrologist to our family. He helped our family with my father’s care in such a dignified way. He helped our family address think about long term care, and offered advice and helped us question what is best for dad. He is compassionate, thoughtful, and treated my family as if he were speaking to a family friend. I cannot recommend Dr. Shapiro more emphatically.
100 stars. I’m consistently greeted by a warm and friendly staff. My wait time is minimum. Dr. Shapiro is very caring and takes time to explain my condition. He is knowledgeable and always professional in his demeanor. I highly recommend him.
My experience with Dr. Craig Shapiro was absolutely horrible. i tried time after time to give him a chance to improve, but to no avail. He is one with no bed side manners. He does not care about the person, but is more concerned about keeping you as a patient. He is not thorough, unprofessional, negative, does not listen, but just rambles.
