I have had two surgeries by Dr. Van Der Veer. I have been very pleased with both surgeries. Dr. Van Der Veer is very professional and we feel so blessed he was my surgeon.
On June 5, 2017 I had my 1st post-op with Dr. Vanderveer. I have never been so insulted or humiliated! He first got onto me for my smoking which I expected, then he pulled up my MRI. He told me his first suggestion would be weight watchers. He pointed to a section on my MRI and said "If you were a cow, this would be like the rib-eye steak, but as you can see it would be a steak that no one would buy because of all the fat, not much lean". Dr. Vanderveer saved my life. 5 years ago he performed a craneotomy from an AVM that I was about to be an aneurysm and would most likely have killed me. He performed the surgery like a master. One year later we had our son and I live with such great appreciation for the life we has given me. He is the best there is and we are blessed to have him in Charlotte.
