I have birth her on January 17th middle of winter , they didn’t even give my babygirl a winter hat / newborn hat. They didn’t have wipes or anything for me to use at the hospital! They said they banned them cause they were getting flushes( like what) They said I couldn’t take home her hospital blanket wich is so weird all her baby juices were on there. it was just so weird. I delivered here twice, once in July of 2021 and the second time was in January of 2025. Each time was great! I was in active labor and a team of about 4-5 women got started right away on the L&D process. Admitted quick and all hands were on deck for delivery, helpful and calm team through the entire process. Shoutout specifically to RN Rebecca Sammons (I believe that’s her last name) She provided 1-1 care to me she was so attentive and helpful! Review for Ascension St. John Hospital Birthing Center I am deeply disappointed and horrified by the neglectful care my twin baby boys have received at the birthing center located at 22101 Moross Road, Detroit, MI 48236. Since their premature birth on Sunday, December 22, 2024, the nursing staff has failed to provide even the most basic level of care. The labor and delivery team at St John was amazing. They were so reassuring and calm during a such a stressful time. Their calm demeanor allowed my husband and I to make the most informed medical decisions leading up to the birth of our son. So thankful for nurses Beth and Maddy for their exceptional care!
This review is a long time coming but better late than never. I've had 4 children here, 2009, 2011, 2017, 2019 and I gotta say they all went really well. My last birthing experience here in 2019 was probably my most memorable as all the nurses were so fun and funny and we had a running joke that I had a golden uterus 🤣 I honestly would recommend any mom thinking about where to go to give birth to look into this hospital, I had an amazing experience every time and the celebratory dinner wasn't half bad as well Thank you to ... read more
