Dined here last night. Was recommended by the staff at my hotel in Toms River. Overall it was a good meal but my coconut shrimp appetizer was burned and the crab cakes weren't as good as I expected. I did very much enjoy the soup and my friends crab legs. Enjoyed the atmosphere as well. Beautiful building

While most of the meal was good, the part you would think should be the best was absolutely terrible. We had the Ocean Breeze, and the sauce was fantastic. The scallops, shrimp and particularly the lobster were terribly over cooked. To the point that I was ready to just leave the lobster in the plate. We had a time constraint, so there was no way we could send it back, so we just sucked it up and ate it. Needless to say we were extremely disappointed, and will not be returning. I really like the Crab Claw Inn. The food is very good and the service is also. We usually go there for a late lunch during the week. I like that they're always open, even in the winter. My only complaint, and it might just be me, I think the piano music is rather loud, making conversation difficult. The gentleman who plays the piano is excellent, but I feel plays a little too loud.
