Today is October 9th 2015 at 5: 26 pm we just had supper at The Crab Sack this evening. I had steamed crabs for the first time in maybe 40 years or longer and they were as good as my grand mother Eason cooked when I was just a teenager our waitress helped me to remember how to open them so between her and the man setting at the table next to us it didn't take me long to clean my plate they were the best, I couldn't even eat my two side dishes lol. Excellent food and atmosphere. The staff are some of the most kind and friendly people I know of. My Dad eats there every day for lunch and loves everyone that works there. Thank you to the entire staff for taking such good care of him.
Fried scallops and soft shell crabs are the best you will find on planet Earth!

This is our 2nd vacation to the island and this is the only place we have eaten out! Our kids talk about the hush puppies all year and the tartar sauce is the best I've see had! Family favorites have been baby flounder and paper shell crabs! The food is fresh and homemade, lunch special is a total bargain.

Food was great. I had the grilled scallops and will visit again this week. Wait staff was also excellent. I highly recommend 'The Crab Shack' in Salter Path, NC.
