Thank you Alex and your gracious Staff. MY USED VEHICLE WAS TOWED & SMOKING WHITE SMOKE. BROUGHT IT INTO CPR BRAGAW STREET MET WITH ALEX. HE SAID IT SOUNDS LIKE IT HAS A BAD THERMOSTAT IN THE HOUSING. HE WAS CORRECT. THE COSTS WAS A LITTLE SPENDY (compared to lower 48's) $578 + TOW BUT THE JOB WAS DONE CORRECTLY AND EXPEDIENT. I WAS HAPPY. THE NEXT DAY WOULDN'T START HAD IT TOW AGAIN. OF COURSE THIS TIME, DRIVERS ERROR, NOT CPR. ALEX FIXED NO CHARGE. VERY, VERY HAPPY WITH SERVICE, I WILL RECOMMEND. This is probably one of the most trustworthy shops in Anchorage.
CPR (Owner... Bill) is just a great place to go. They will not "sugar coat" your problem and you can call them anytime there open to ask a question and they are glad to help you out.
Stay away from this place. These guys are the stereotypical "take advantage of a Woman, make repairs you don’t need to empty your wallet" type people. While I was deployed to Afghanistan, my wife took my truck to them to get the "Heater Core" replaced. They actually installed a "Block Heater," a price difference of $680.
