Located in theFt. Worth Stockyards, the Cowtown Coliseum has a tremendous history. It was the site of the first indoor rodeo, held in 1918, and the first live radio broadcast, which took place at a rodeo here in 1923. Despite being an old building, the Coliseum has excellent modern conveniences such as the arena seats for 2,500 people, air conditioning, production lighting and a great sound system. Only downfall was we paid for preferred, nice seating and they just let anyone sit there without having to pay for it!! I asked 2 people working there to have people removed and nothing was done. Very disappointing.
I have worked at the cowtown coliseum for 22 years. I love it and all I have worked with ! Lots of history .
Iced cold beer, good food and nice people! Went there for the bull riding event had a blast with the whole family!
