Absolutely horrible experience with Covington Electric Co-Op. This company is controlled by wealthy landowners in the area—many of whom operate massive cattle and poultry farms—and they are by far the largest electricity consumers. Instead of paying their fair share for the power they use, they’ve shifted the financial burden onto regular households. Covington Electric Co-Op Inc. is the greediest and most deceitful power company I have ever encountered. Over the years, I’ve lived in four different states, including Florida, and they by far have the worst and most outrageous pricing I’ve seen. It’s not just that their usage rates are high—the most egregious issue is their absurdly expensive access fee.
