Dr. Covert was the specialist who saw our son when he went to the NICU right after being born. He didn’t really have to do anything as it was more precautionary than anything. We weren’t made aware until 4 months later that he was not in our insurance network even though he was the only doctor presented to us in the NICU. He charged us $2600 for the “services” he provided in which we were liable for roughly $1800. Had we known he wasn’t in our network we would have requested a different doctor who was.
