Man oh Man where do I begin? If I can give this hotel a million stars I would. It takes a lot for me to really be amazed and this hotel surpassed it. I came down last weekend for homecoming and I really found my new hotel everytime that I am in the 757 area (yes the 25 minute drive to Norfolk is worth it and doesn't even feel like it). While a great location, the general vibe of this hotel is best described as low effort. Several team members did put in effort, but with the apparently low staffing this barely moved the needle. Several guests commented on the state of the lobby bathrooms while we were present, and any requests to the front desk had to be made 2-3 times before they would be fulfilled.
I always enjoy off season stays at the beach. Friendly. helpful staff. Lots of food choices nearby. I enjoyed walks on the boardwalk. I will definitely be back!
Microwave not in rooms but out in the hallway by the ice machine :-( No light in the mini fridge either. Sliding glass door to the balcony not clean, it had footprints on the glass like someone was doing a handstand. At 1:20 in the morning someone tried taking $70 off our card after checking in at a pm. We never received our $100 deposit back and they made an Unauthorized withdrawal from my girlfriend credit card and made her account negative.
