Shrimp Mission – I have been on a Shrimp mission for the 1st 2 days of my trip. Had the Gulf Shrimp platter. Cajun spices were just right. Service was great. remember to ask for water
Not so great – I did not enjoy me weekend stay at the Candlewood Suites SLC - Airport. The hotel was dirty and smelly including the room. The bed was worn out and uncomfortable which killed my back and it sagged in the middle. If you can afford to stay elsewhere do so.
Peruvian Food-Excellent – The Food here is Great, very authentic with a Fusion style. Everything I tasted was very good. Service is Great too...and to top it off...the VIEW is romantic and spectacular...you have both good food, service & view of the marina and coconut grove..can't get any better! I recommend the restaurant.
Best hotel ever! – Never been there actually
Good for drinks...from the bar....that's it – The patio is beautiful and the ambiance inside and out is lovely. The food is “good” but noting to write home about. I recommend going here for drinks and socializing more then dinning. I have had more then one bad experience with the service. I am a very nice customer and a great tipper – but I have had three servers treat me with a very snobby attitude. The first time we went we had a group of about 8 girls. I went to Gainey Golf Club for a wedding tour. I did not think that it would be the best location. i really liked it. i'm really surprised.I think I'm going to sign my wedding contract with them. I should probably have waited to review them, but i was really happy with what I saw and very surprised. they have a beautiful beautiful wrap around view that would rival the phonecian.
ONE OF BEST PO'BOYS EVER !!! – FABULOUS! Arrived in NOLA the day before jazzfest started in 08. Was one of the best meals we have ever had in NOLA. I am surprised to see the negative reviews. We are going to NOLA again for fest this year. Definitely headed straight to Desire for a po' boy and muffaleta. Service was not the best but they were slammed.
Very Disappointed. Looking at the menu and the photos on their website my wife and I were expecting some great Peruvian food. The restaurant offered their special Valentine's menu, which is fine but you would expect to have at least some Peruvian food items on the menu if this is your specialty...ceviche, chupita de camerones, a lucuma desert something. Smokey and Loud! – SMOKING I'm staying at the Royal Sonesta right now and I'm unhappy with it. The main thing is that I'm in a non-smoking room but someone either above or next to me has been smoking non-stop for days and my entire room is filled with smoke. The walls must be really thin. They won't switch rooms for me because "non-smoking rooms are right next to smoking rooms throughout the hotel" and there's "nothing they can do about it."
