One starring this place due to suffering food poisoning there twice. Once back iin early 2024, and again just recently. I will NEVER stay at this place again, and I would caution anyone from eating from their restaurant on-site. This is not a “sour-grapes” review. The service was friendly, the room clean, tidy, and modern. But twice I have stayed here, and twice goten food poisoning. My timelines for a bacterial infection are aligned with medical guidelines. Will NEVER set foot in this place again.
I stayed at Courtyard by Marriott Saskatoon for 3 nights from August 29, 2025. The hotel environment, both inside and outside, was very pleasant, and the staff were exceptionally polite and helpful. However, I was a bit disappointed that no tissue paper was provided in the room. Only a tissue box was placed in the bathroom, and bringing it into the room for use did not feel convenient. Aside from this, my overall stay was comfortable and enjoyable.
Was expecting some degree of professionalism. But I sense a degree of conflict within staff. Here's what we experienced. We booked a room using our sons military discount. Which we have used at other Marriot sites. Apon arriving, adjacent receptionist had made a remark to the receptionist that initial verified our reservation that only family members of military personnel can use the booking discount.
