I have visited many hotels throughout the Los Angeles area, and in my experience, most hotels do not charge a separate tax on parking fees. This hotel is the only one I have encountered that not only charges a high parking fee but also adds an additional 18% tax I only used the valet parking for about two hours. The advertised rate was $40, but I was charged $47.20. When I asked for an explanation of the extra charges, no one could provide a clear breakdown. The lack of transparency was very frustrating.

Urban hotel close to the Santa Monica pier that can get noisy due to thin walls and floors. We stayed here for one night without any issues and the room was clean and everything worked. The people were very friendly and it’s a very well maintained building overall. The hotel parking is valet only - $65 plus $12 in taxes so be prepared for that. Would be 5 stars. Everyone is very nice, but the Cafe hours say it closes at 11:30. So why close at 11:25? That is frustrating. Will stay again, but why post hours if you decide to stop serving food before published hours.
