The staff has a culture of NOT being helpful or accommodating. And if you're military DO NOT STAY HERE: Even as a gold member and a military service spouse, this hotel had extremely poor customer service and refuse to be flexible in spite of knowing we were loyal customers from our gold status and my husband being military. They were demeaning in their speech and anxious to decline any assistance because they could pull the policy card. Spacious rooms and nice facilities but a bit out of the way for downtown events.
The place had great views ad the property over all was really nice. The rooms hadn't been updated since the property was built from what it looks like. There is a bistro on property not a full restaurant. The rooms didn't have all of the items filled like the soap in the showers of the room.
Come for the views. Stay for the views. Invite your friends for the views. Epic skyline view of Kansas City. Essentially the only reason we made our way over there, but the open space is the architectural design. Its position on the hillside and the view is spectacular. Bring binoculars, be prepared for selfies. Your friends won't be impressed, but you never know who might be reading this review.
