Hotel is run down. Carpet needs replacing, bathroom a total renovation. The photos online of the rooms are definitely filtered to look more new and updated than they are.

I was harassed on 8/24/25 by a night concierge white lady. I was racially profiled,police called on me. Threatened. And I am a paying resident who resides at this establishment. I was very concerned that I was profiled and the same lady saw me come out of my room and I also presented a room key etc. she lied to police as seen on cameras. I am very distraught about this and shaken. I have never experienced this before in my life.
Note that there is no microwave or small fridge and the room has the bare minimum in it. The sound on our TV was terrible, even when turned up to about max. There is construction going on around the entire hotel and finding a door open anywhere, to check-in, not to mention trying to park was about impossible. There is no vent fan in the bathroom.and it's a bit dated. Also, it looked like the floors had not been swepted good. It will not be my place of choice for my next visit to Hoover.
