After many years of trying, I finally found the right medication that worked to treat my depression with my former APRN. During my first appointment, Courney started making changes. I told her that my current meds were working. Without any explanation she changed my anti-depressant to Caplyta which negatively affected me. Dr. Courtney Button is rational, and takes time to explain how things work. I'm a visual learner she took the time to draw out how things work in the brain. She's explained things that no one has explained before. I am very hopeful to continue working with her.
I did not feel listened to at my appointment. I stated my goals and was treated like someone with my mental illness not a person.
Buttons wants only to prescribe medicines. She refuses to answer questions. When I said I want my one question answered, she called the police and an ambulance on me. The police gave me the name of who was her boss. She has no communication skills.
She’s horrible. Don’t see her if you actually want your mental health to get better. She is cold, uncaring, and disrespectful. She is incredibly anti weed which is legal in this state, puts conditions on her treatment of patients, and overall has an uncaring bedside manner.
