One of my favorites – I have never had a bad meal at Court Street. The staff is always freindly and attentive. I always feel comfortable walking into this place. I have gone with a friend , groups of friends and even alone for a drink or a meal. I have attend a couple of their wine tastings which are well done. Highly recommend!!
Attitude with absolutely no reason – This place really needs to get it to together the staff is RUDE and the management team is oblivious. Inconsistent food, drinks... Was served spoiled clams and when told the waitress she rolled her eyes. Was then served a duck salad that was 85% iceberg lettuce and the duck was like the refuge pieces from when you slice cold cuts (dry hard scraps). Brunch here is great! – I haven't had any dinners there, but their brunch menu was great. I've never had Irish Soda Bread before, but after the basket they give us, I think my wedding cake will be make of Irish SOda Bread. It's a nice relaxing place for a peaceful Sunday Brunch.
Nice place, poor food – I came with high hopes. There is a nice bar area and separate dining area. The food was bland and just didn't taste good. Something as simple as chicken parmesan w/ linguini was not good. I can't come back.
OverRated – Some of the most interesting menu items in Hoboken but no idea how to prepare them. I have been there twice and they really don't know how to cook - it's that simple. Go to Amanda's or Madison Bar & Grill for the best food in Hoboken. This place doesn't even rank.
What a disappointment – I was so disappointed with this restaurant. I had heard such good things about it and it just didnt deliver. Maybe my expectations were too high. The atmosphere was unimpressive and the food was sub-par at best. The only redeeming quality of Court Street was its extensive wine list. The problem is who wants to drink a $100 bottle of wine with a dismal meal. Dont waste your time.
Best in Hoboken? – Could be. Great food, friendly people, big wine list, live music during the week, strong drinks (if you ask for them), and great dining room separated from the bar. Perfect for a first date or to go with a large group - the menu seems to have something for absolutely everyone.
