We are leaving Brookdale after 1.5yrs due to cost increases, shabby living conditions, no beauty spa for over 6 months, cold food, food served on plastic plates with plastic utensils and an executive director (Brad) who lacks effective management skills. I recently toured the community with Whitney Varnadore and was very impressed with the entire experience. Staff introduced themselves, it smelled nice, and the residents were well taken care of and enjoying an activity. Whitney is a trusted resource for all things seniors and gives her all to helping families through the transition. If you are looking for a memory care of a loved one, you won’t regret reaching out.
This is a very nice facility. The staff is excellent. Tameka and her assistant do a wonderful job! Tanya, Nikki, and sister as well. Rianna is wonderful and Cyntina Jackson as well.
UPDATE: 2024 After moving my mother out of Brookdale, the difference is night & day. Her new home is SUCH AN IMPROVEMENT over Brookdale! And it costs less too! I have visited many Memory Care units by this time & while Brookdale looked good to us early on, we see now how much better things can be.
