Even though I had booked and received confirmation via booking.com, upon my arrival, they gave me a ridiculous explanation: they claimed my reservation appeared in the system but that they couldn't process it—which is impossible. Booked this hotel for 1 night based on the great reviews. Would not stay here again. This hotel is in need of a lot of care & renovation. Having the smoking area right next to the front door is off putting & the smell fills the lobby. Front desk was efficient but not friendly. Very surprised that they said my room number aloud instead of just pointing to it. (Safety concern) Broken/missing tile & peeling paint in the elevator. Horrible stay, female Indian, concierge made it impossible to ask questions and questioned everything I asked her and always had an attitude.Everything became a problem with her and I was always in the wrong. I had to change rooms twice because of how dirty and smelly the rooms were. Would not recommend at all, I would give it a 0 if I could.
I have never stayed in a room as horrific, unsafe, and unsanitary as Room 313 at this property. It is completely unacceptable that management is charging guests money for this space. It feels like a tiny 10x10 utility room or auxiliary space that they crammed a queen bed into just to turn a profit, completely ignoring basic building and health codes.
