Room looked like there was black mold in it. There wasn't any ice in the ice machine
Smells of mold terribly. Old gross carpet. The ceiling above the bathroom was falling. Would not recommend. Updating to one star because for some reason my husband booked us here on another trip to town & our reservation has been cancelled with no warning and they had no rooms left. Although I'm grateful I didn't have to stay in this pit again.
My workers and I have stayed here several times before when we work in Wilmington and the rooms are comfortable and breakfast is good but my experience when I came here with my wife was less than satisfactory. We had booked prior to arrival on an app and chose to pay at the hotel. When we arrived after a long day of driving and went to check in around 9pm I was informed that my reservation had been cancelled and our room given to someone else because I hadn't paid for it ahead of time. Everyone that works here is extremely kind! We've had nothing but top notch service every time we talk to someone. Our room isn't perfect but the beds are clean, and thats what matters the most! As far as the pool, its closed and no plan on opening any time soon. Overall great experience. The way people treat you makes all the difference. Everyone is very transparent and kind!
