Despite the fact that this hotel advertised an indoor swimming pool, hot tub, and workout room on Hotels.com, they offer none of these. We were alternately told all three were “closed for the season” (indoor pool closed for winter?? isn’t that the whole point of it being indoor??), “closed for maintenance”, and/or “don’t exist”. My kids were so disappointed -those were the reasons we selected this hotel. The hairdryer was broken, as was the one they brough up as a replacement, and NONE of the ice machines in the entire hotel... read more
The front desk person is very welcoming and rooms are neat and good. Pleasure staying here.
I stayed at the des moines location and it was conveniently located by a Cracker Barrel which was nice. It was very nice looking from The outside. Inside is a little dated but we were staying to sleep. It was clean and comfortable. Thin walls as we could hear people walking above us. However I give the room a 4/5 because I couldn’t close to darker outside curtain as it was hung the way where you couldn’t there is only a sheer curtain letting all the lights outside in. Otherwise the staff was courteous!
This hotel is another in the myriad of ways that American Airlines expresses just how deeply they despise their customers. We were given vouchers to stay in this hotel after a missed connection on a flight. We were given a twin queen room, room 225 and the first treat we had was the smell of the room - a lovely bouquet of mildew and old socks, and it was evident that the carpet had not been cleaned since sometime during the Clinton administration.
