I had the privilege of working with Dr. Bonnie King as my professor in my Master's program at Antioch University. Dr. King is extremely knowledgeable in trauma informed work and ADHD, she brought amazing insights to us in class. She has such a kind and gentle demeanor always making our learning space feel safe and inviting to ask her questions. Our class was focused on diagnosis and treatment which Dr. King has such valuable and in depth experience with. I appreciated her ability to validate and connect with people from diff... read more

I cannot recommend Dr. King enough. While I know her through an educational and mentorship lens rather than as a clinical client, I have experienced firsthand the qualities she brings to her work. She is trauma-informed, exceptionally supportive, and wonderfully human. Throughout my own learning process, she helped me navigate difficult situations with unwavering grounding and validation. Anyone in the Frisco area looing for a truly authentic and grounding space to heal would be lucky to work with her.

I was lucky this past semester to have Dr. King as a graduate professor for my Practicum experience. She created such a safe space for our class that we formed an incredible bond—we felt free to be ourselves! Dr. King’s guidance, wisdom, kindness, and expertise guided our way during this very new and overwhelming experience, and I feel ever so blessed to have been able to work with her!

I had Dr. King for my last semester of graduate school for internship supervision. Her expertise and experience was hugely impactful for me. Her trauma-informed approach and warm teaching style was the perfect send off into the counseling world on my own. She is incredibly knowledgable, understanding, and a lovely person to work with.

She has a natural ability to make the environment feel calm, reflective, and genuinely safe. I'm someone who doesn't typically look forward to vulnerability, but that changed working with her. Her depth of knowledge across trauma, assessment, and case conceptualization, gave every interaction real substance. She modeled what it looks like to hold space with intention. Her a... read more
