In a word: TREMENDOUS! Tony and his team are absolutely top notch. Expert and thorough evaluation of needed service, conscientious and timely repairs, thoughtful explanations of service required and cost estimate, and very helpful, people-friendly manners. Handy location too! And, if time is spent by a customer on site, the clean and tidy waiting room has free wifi, cold water, nice restrooms, and smoke-free environment. Cottman of Columbia does a FANTASTIC JOB; now our first stop for any automotive needs.
My sister and brother in-law referred me to Cottman Transmission at first I was skeptical because the price they quote me after looking at my vehicle was wayyyy out of my price range, and I was not going to go through with the repairs, but after I spoke with Tina she was able to give a price I was able to afford and payment option that suited my needs. So I was very please with the level of customer service and the over all experience.
I recently had my transmission fluid and filter changed here. The folks there are extremely nice and professional. They did an excellent job and show care for what they do. The process also did not seem to be long to me, about an hour. Will return again when I need transmission service.
I had my Chevy s10 truck from hell repaired here. Everything that can go wrong with a truck has gone wrong with this one. They had to keep it for a while to figure out why it was catching fire (the source of the extreme heat that was making part of the engine glow orange-literally) and they figured it out and it is running again. It actually caught fire in the bay and the mechanic had to run for the fire extinguisher. These are good guys, doing the best job they can. I am happy with the work they did and the amount I paid. I had some work done on my car for 2500 rebuilt on a Tarus the people were very friendly but I had to take my car back about 3 times before it was right. its july 2008 I am having transmission problem with the same car when I take it back , I will tell you the story
They did what they said was bad on my car on time and on quote i will return for service again
