We've done work with cottman since I started working at the company im at over 10 years ago. This past visit had to get a rebuild on the transmission again. WE ARE ROUGH ON OUR WORK VEHICLES. This makes number 4 on this tranny and once again it's flawless. Without my van I don't make any money so they always try there best to get us in and out as cheap and quick as they can. My son and I were on our way to a dirt bike ride and broke down literally in a McDonald's drive through. 2000 Ford Excursion. Transmission would not come out of park. Immediately assumed my transmission failed. Had the truck (and trailer) hauled to Cottman's on that early Saturday morning and Michael immediately went to work diagnosing. Turned out is was a cheap brake light switch had failed, preventing the shifter from moving out of park. We were fixed and back on the road in about an hour. I highly recommend Cottman's for their professionalism, honesty, and a timely repair. We brought my son's car in for a transmission check (referral from another mechanic shop), and it turned out to only be bad wheel bearings. Again, Michael and the team are top-notch.
