About this business

COTE, the carnivorous vision of proprietor Simon Kim, blends the dining experience of Korean barbecue together with the hallmarks of a classic American steakhouse. The result is a unique, convivial and interactive atmosphere, accompanied by the highest quality USDA Prime beef, an impeccable 1200+ label wine list, and a suite of classic-but-creative cocktails. Smokeless grills in every table, combined with cuts from our in-house dry aging room, ensure that every morsel of steak is hot, fresh, and caramelized to perfection. CO... read more

This place is a straight up scam. Weird, clubby atmosphere. Unbelievably expensive for what you actually get from your meal. There is absolutely nothing about this place that justifies them to have a Michelin star.

Generally good food but some things were underwhelming. Highlights food and drink wise were the NY State of Mind and the A5 (obviously). Service was attentive and we were treated well by Jonathan, the service manager. We had our table until 1030 and were gently asked to leave for the next reservation, though we were allowed to sit until almost 1130. I figured dropping 10k would get you some VIP treatment but that may just be a standard check for a party of 10 here. Overall good experience and I would come back.

The Korean Stew was rich, spicy, and highly satisfying. While the $25 Wedge Salad with lettuce and wasabi was an intriguing concept, the price felt excessive for what was offered. Drinks, priced at $20, were well-made but came wi... read more

a 10! everything here is perfect. The staff, the food, the selection, the drinks, the atmosphere… All fantastic. The chef’s selection is a wonderful opportunity to try four different types of beef along with numerous side dishes, followed by a truly adorable dessert of soft serve ice cream with soy sauce caramel sauce on top.

We had a memorable night at COTE NYC! Excellent cuts and great service The music is too loud for a group dinner but the quality of the restaurant is unmatched.
