The optical is split into two different departments, the ophthalmologist does NOT take insurance. When I made my appointment they didn’t mention it, I also failed to ask because my husband was there previously with no issue. To fill contact lenses since different departments they DO take insurance. There are no signs or anything to let you know they are straight out of pocket.
I have been to this Costco optical a couple of different times and the customer service is so-so, but today it bottomed out and with the Optical Manager of all people. Argumentative, rude and arrogant. I don’t need to save money this badly. And you would think that since the last overall rating is not great and most of the complaints are regarding customer service, Costco would get a better manager and staff in there. If you can’t be kind and helpful to customers, why are you in a customer service position?!?
Insanely rude employees. This is my last time with Costco. I have been coming here for years and the employees are always so insanely rude and I’m over it. You couldn’t pay me to visit the optical department at lakeside anymore.
Randy was extremely helpful ! He was explaining things as he was training someone else and made the whole process easy.
