Brought back from the dead by a welcome change of ownership. Seems to still be finding its way news-coverage wise, with a lot of fluff getting in. It’s better than nothing, that’s for sure.
Picked up a few issues of the Cortland Standard over the past week. The fact that Cortland still has a daily is nice. The Standard isn't the biggest newspaper out there, issues seem to average about 12 pages, but Cortland isn't the biggest city out there so that makes sense. The Standard is an independently owned and operated local paper, and that alone makes it indispensably valuable to the community.
