Founded in 1947 by Frank Corti and his brother Gino Corti, Corti Brothers' mission was to expand the culinary experiences of Sacramentans by offering delicacies and wines not readily available elsewhere in the Sacramento area, thereby providing them with an appreciation for diverse cuisines. Toward this end, he sought to hire people who were interested in the products they sold. He would say, "At Corti Brothers we just don't hand people products, we also talk food with them."

Just bought some shrimp. They smell like bleach or something other than shrimp and they are limp as in soggy, not firm. Guess I'm just used to good seafood. Needless to say, I did not eat them. I do like their cheeses and homemade croutons.
