Selecting Grapes for Winemaking at Corrados In late summer/ early fall, the wine grapes arrive at Corrado's in 38-lb crates and are sorted in huge stacks by variety. It's educational and very helpful to go around nibbling samples to test for sugar and flavor before buying your grapes (which they can crush, destem, or press on the spot!). My only complaint is that they really only seem to get grapes from the Central Valley in California, with the notion that the grapes from Oregon and Washington are too expensive. Corrado's Wine & Beer Making in Clifton Corrado's has all the equipment and supplies you need to make homemade wine (and beer), including grapes, chemicals, carboys, bubblers, etc. They will also crush and de-stem the grapes you buy there for a minimal charge. I bought chemicals, demijohns, and incidentals and their prices generally match the prices you find on the web minus shipping costs. The service was good even when the store was crowded. Their website gives you no clue as to how big and well stocked this place is.
Wine making Corrado's has taken most of the hassle out of wine making. It is a great experience to make your own wine and be able to hand it out to friends with your own label on it.
Great garden center We shop here every year for our plants. They have great quality plants and flowers. They carry a huge selection of outdoor plants as well as a large greenhouse full of indoor plants. The prices are excellent and we have never had any problems with the plants. They are always healthy. They have great sales at the end of the summer and we can always pick up beautiful shrubs for our gardens. During the holiday season they carry decorations for the inside and outside of the house.
Garden Center with good prices Corrados garden center has a wide variety of plants, shrubs, flowers and all of your gardening needs. The prices are low, but sometimes the quality is not the greatest. You can find good things, but you might have to look harder than at other more expensive garden centers.
plants at great prices Looking for quality plants at prices that will not break your bank? Check this place out. They have fantastic plants. And they have a large variety of plants- pretty much anything you could want. They carry both indoor and outdoor plants. They also carry plant foods and top soil and things you would need for all of your gardening needs. I still cannot say enough how good the prices are. So if you are in the area and need plants, then definitely check this place out. Great store.
JUNK The material at this garden center was all second grade. I have worked in the retail industry for 25 years and have been an avid gardener for 15 of those years. I have seen all types of garden centers and plants. This place had a cheap price tag but there was absolutely no service, unless you could speak Mexican fluently. I do not recommend going here after dark either as it is in Paterson not Clifton.
Best prices Would you believe their prices even beat Home Depot and Kmart? Well, I didn't compare the p[rices on everything in the stores but Corrados was cheaper on the items I bought and the quality was equal.
