This was my experience. I am at the doctor's office and the front desk lady is giving me a hard time because I am not giving my social security number. Legally, they cannot demand it unless you are on Medicaid or Medicare. If you are in the hospital., then that is a different . Now the supervisor calls me to the window and demands my social security number. This is one of the most unprofessional non caring office staff EVER!!! They claim to have policies yet cannot produce a document to back their claim. They have no care for an individuals health or well being. I would recommend using a more caring group should you or anyone you may know need this type of Dr services. The arrogant demeanor of the unprofessional (so called ) office manager and her group were enough to make an individual even more sick than the moment when you would walk in.
