I treasure the years of service I have with ABC AmeriCorps and thank the CNCS for providing the opportunity to serve my community in a very meaningful way as well as meet some incredible people.
AmeriCorps VISTA provided me with an opportunity straight out of college to contribute to my community and gain valuable professional development experiences and skills that are allowing me to be successful in my public health career, as well as continuing to contribute to positive community change. I was highly impressed during my service with the support that CNCS provides to service members; we need to protect its programs and continue to invest in national service members and opportunities.
The work that the volunteers do is remarkable and help the communities a lot.
