Our pups did great with Dr. Lawrence Allen. Normally, our husky is a royal jerk to other vets. Nope, not with Dr. Allen. The price was very, very affordable. I recommend this place to anyone.
The older Allen has terrible "bedside" manner. Our Bernese was failing and although he gave my husband his cell number when he called about our dog, he proceeded to tell him "Don't ever f*cking call my cell again". Not a problem. Won't be calling the office either. It wasn't as if he called constantly on his personal line. It was a true emergency and our dog did pass away. Thank you to Chris for treating us and our Sully with some compassion. It is not lost on us. We unfortunately will not be back until the old man is gone.
Haven't even been there yet and i won't be going. The receptionist was extremely rude to me when all i asked was how much a check up would be. Then he asked what was wrong with my dog, after explaining she had mange and I was getting treatments from another office he said "you need to go there then". I explained that her vet no longer worked there and I didn't want to drive an hour away anymore, he asked what treatments we were given, then said to try a flea/tick shampoo instead. When my Frosty girl had to be put down, I couldn't have asked for more compassion from a vet. They were wonderful and understanding.
Honest, Affordable, Caring, Father/Son Veterinary Clinic with Wonderfully Refreshing Old Fashioned Morals, Values & Principles, (& Beautiful Care) at Coronado Animal Hospital. They Never let any Animals Down! ..They Genuinely CARE ..Blessing, & ANGELS to All Animals Lucky enough to Find Them.. I now Live in Leavenworth - but, continue to bring ALL animals (here) to Coronado Animal Hospital.
I'm certain there must be excellent vets and animal hospitals in the Greater KC area, but in my humble opinion, Lawrence and Christopher Allen are, hands down, the best vets you will ever be able to find. They are compassionate to the ultimate degree, flawlessly honest and astoundingly knowledgeable about their profession. If you want your pets to receive the very best care, bring them here, to Coronado. Even if their prices were the same as everyone else, I'd still recommend them.
