This hotel has been under renovation for years due to roof issues. Although I stayed in a renovated room, it still had a very strange smell. I am sure there is a mold problem . The roof in the dining room still has areas that leak. We were there for a business meeting We had to ask for the conference room to be cleaned up and paper towels in the bathrooms, old water glasses to be removed from the day before and new water for the next day. Usually we stay at AirBnB’s but there weren’t many in the area that were affordable. This place is a good bang for the buck. Good location, walking distance to the Gaffer District and a 3 minute drive to Corning Glass Museum. Staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were spacious, clean and the beds were comfortable. A huge perk that I loved was the restaurant and bar. The restaurants food for breakfast and dinner was delicious. This hotel is very dated - the lock on my door was fickle (and did not contribute to a sense of safety), the room itself smelled, the soap canisters were empty, and the sheets stained. When I brought these issues up to staff they sent housekeeping up immediately however did not act surprised or apologize for the inconvenience. Housekeeping staff arrived with the wrong supplies and had to make multiple trips and did a very unsatisfactory job of rectifying the situation.
