I have been with Cornhusker Bank for many years. I like to support the "local" banks, however, Cornhusker Bank is one of the very few banks in Lincoln who does not offer free checks, along with free checking accounts. West Gate Bank, Cattle Bank, Union Bank and Lincoln Federal local banks all have some checking account that offers free checks. Cornhusker Bank is the only local bank that I know of that does not offer free checks with ANY type of account. That's poor policy. Get with it.
