I have rented my whole life and I really love my new space. Cornerstone is very pleasant, attentive and accomodating (which is the very opposite of a lot of other property managements in the area)
Cornerstone is by far the best property management company I've had the pleasure to work with during the 24 years I have resided at my unit on Lee Ave. Just this week Brian installed a replacement dishwasher in my unit. He was on time, polite and professional. He did an excellent job with the installation and clearly is good at his job. I don't know what it's like to deal with them while apartment hunting, because they bought the apartment building I was living in. They're nice guys and they'll respond to urgent maintenance requests after a couple of days--if you submit them on the app. I had extensive mold growing under my bathroom sink and they replaced the whole thing, which was a lot more than I expected.
Cornerstone recently took over management of our house and they've been great. They fixed several things the previous company would not deal with and Will has been excellent in telling us how to get setup with the new apps.
I don't know what it's like to deal with them while apartment hunting, because they bought the apartment building I was living in. I do know they raised my rent significantly and want me to pay more of security deposit (is that even legal?) for a building that's barely held together and doesn't have central air or additional window units (so only the front room is cool in the summer, the rest are 80 degrees). They occasionally do yard maintenance though, so.... super worth the hike in rent.
