Does not know how they inspect houses when they pass right by a mouse nest ? What a waste of money!! Get someone else.
Scott McLaughlin inspected out home telling us a few minor things in December. After we moved in we noticed alot of major issues! Fireplace is a fire hazard wood stove is not up to code and a fire hazard. Had to replace oil tank whole bottom was rusted out oil company would not deliver till New one was put in. Wires hanging live in basement! The list is huge of problems found.all major safety issues! Would not recommend to my worst enemy! I should have read the prior review before letting Scott inspect my house. My girlfriend and I just purchased a house 3 weeks ago and Scott Mclaughlin inspected it and told us about minor things that needed to be fixed after moving in... he made it clear nothing big or major was wrong with the home we were purchasing. The first week into the home we had a roof leak and come to find out the whole roof needs to be replaced. Scott had told us the roof was "newer" to "midlife" and had no problems. Scott McLaughlin inspected a home I purchased in December 2015. At first I thought he was great. Then I moved into my home in mid February and have two serious plumbing issues within the first week of moving in. I had two separate plumbers tell me that all of the plumbing/drainage in my basement needs to be replaced and they were both incredulous that the home inspector did not point the plumbing out as an issue.
