Food's fine-service a question. Went there last night, food was good and was served fast but the gal that waited on us seemed somewhat pushy, in a hurry. I 've been there just a couple of times, but last night it was like"hey let us eat our salads before you try to swipe it away when the the dinners arrive."
Food is fantastic Corner Cafe is a great restaurant for country style food - cinnamon rolls the size of your head, chicken fried steak, biscuits and gravy to die for, open faced sandwiches smothered in mashed potatoes and gravy, etc. I was suprised to see the reviews claiming bad service. I live less than 5 minutes away and we eat at Corner Cafe at least once a month and sometimes more frequently. I have never had an experience of bad service. ROACH IN HASH BROWNS Never eat at this place! I ordered breakfast there about 1pm and when I took a bite of my hash browns I found a BIG BLACK ROACH in there. I ran out screaming.
Great Food, Crappy Service, Dirty Bathrooms This is a paradise of baked foods and homecooked-style meals. Some of it is a lil bit salty, but it's pretty good. Our service was awful and the bathrooms were nasty. The changing table had old feces on it and so did the walls!!! I would be okay if I didn't return to this location.
Great Breakfast This is a comfortable little restuarant that is conducive to relaxing and enjoying a meal alone or with a group of friends. They serve large breakfasts all day and have wonderful hashbrowns. Don't pass it up on your next trip to Liberty.
Corner Cafe is great, but Watch your debit cards. I typically tip at the table and they like to add tips to your Debit card. Twice I called about this and twice the Manager told me this was a mistake. I think that is not a mistake. The Servers want bigger tips. Always write in your tip on your reciept and if you are not adding one to your card WRITE in NO TIP. The Food is wonderful and even if the line is long your wait is usually not bad and it doesn't usually take long to get your food and it always tastes great.
Good Food I love their food also. I have had one good server out of the 3 times I've been there and that was when it was just me and my daughter. The first time I remember the server never brought my daughter her free cookie that comes with the kids meal. I know it's petty but I'm sure that's something they have to do with almost every table. Great Comfort Food This is another family favorite of ours. We know we can always get in quickly no matter how long the line is. They have the best pie and you must order either a sticky bun or cinnamon roll to go! We've had both alright and great service here, I think they tend to hire a lot of high schoolers and sometimes they aren't the most friendly. The manager always seems to stop by our table and talk to our daughter, that means a lot.
Corner Cafe, NOT AT ALL LIKE HOME Last week, my fiancé and I visited the Corner Cafe in Riverside. I was really looking forward to eating there because I had heard so many good things. My fiancé ordered the tacos and I ordered a Ruben sandwich. I looked over the sandwich and noticed that the meat was fatty but, proceeded to take a bite.
