I was a 23 year customer of McBride which was acquired by Cornell. Late 2025 Cornell raised my annual property insurance from approximately $5000 to $7500. When I appealed to the agent on ways to bring it down he did basically nothing. So I went to Desjardins and got equivalent coverage for $4000. A $3500 savings.
