I really liked the doctor, but had an unfortunate experience with billing. I was provided with a wrist brace for tennis elbow and was told it would be covered by insurance, the bill for the brace was $188 when you can get a similar brace on Amazon for about $20. I am not challenging the value of Dr. VanBeek's time or her PA or the value fo the X-ray, but the charge for a brace, and the lack of flexibility for an adjustment or and the lack disclosure about the potential cost, is unfortunate. I had surgery on October 2025. The results were amazing. Dr. Van Beek is the perfect doctor. I could not imagine a better experience and a better outcome. She's very friendly, extremely bright exceptionally talented.. This is the first time in my 68 years of existence, but I have called the doctor perfect..
Dr Van Beek is fantastic!!
Dr VanBeek is the most spectacular physician and surgeon I have ever dealt with. She repaired my rotator cuff expertly and I have had minimal pain. I'm 62, a former competitive athlete, and I could not recommend Dr VanBeek more enthusiastically. Her entire team is fabulous -- her PA, her nurses, both of her office locations. If you are looking for the best shoulder/elbow surgeon on the east coast, do not hesitate to make an appointment with her.
