This review has nothing to do with the doctors (they're fantastic) and everything to do with the practices Corewell Health uses to collect money. They are aggressive when it comes to getting money. They ask for the full payment PRIOR to your procedure. To add to that, they have started threatening to send bills to collections BEFORE INSURANCE HAS EVEN PAID OUT. It's predatory. It's gross. They should be ashamed of themselves.
DON’T TRUST THE QUOTE! Dr. Axibal and the staff were nice, but Corewell is another story. BEWARE! They gave a quote 7/8 days before surgery. I verified it included everything (the surgeon, hospital, and anesthesia) and I was told yes. Only to arrive and have it be almost 5 times more than what I was quoted. They told me they had made a mistake and it would be $9,200, yet I received the quote for the original amount agreed upon ($1,923.01) the day of my surgery. They are refusing to honor it. I choose this Pennock branch of Corewell Health for all my lab and radiology needs. They are consistently helpful, professional, knowledgeable, efficient, and friendly. Every appointment has been on time and usually even early.
