Great service, food is consistently good. Try the potato soup! The restaurant is one big room and can get loud. One of our favorite places for dinner.
Always have had quality food but this time was a disaster. Was with a party of five. Only one person received a fit to eat meal. Baby back ribs - very little meat plus way overcooked, Two people had sirloin steak which both steaks were very tough. a steak sandwich without the bread was ordered by another customer, it was also stringy. Where do I start. Well first by saying I will not be a repeat customer here. The orders were wrong and inedible. We had food delivered cold or not cooked properly. The manager could not grasp the concept of not returning to the table with more inedible food (three times to make potatoes and failing every time ) The table that came after us was served before us???? How does that work? Do not be fooled by the good reviews, there is NOTHING good here. I would give it zero stars but yelp wont allow it
Our to-go order took twice as long as quoted. Being an open kitchen, I could see my order sitting waiting...and waiting...and waiting. Being in food service myself, this gave me time to observe their fair/mediocre compliance with food safety standards. The bartender was entirely unconcerned with my wait. Although I peeked at my food before leaving, I figured we could microwave it. This restaurant is definitely over rated! The food is nothing to rave about when they get it right. The burgers have no flavor and they don't know how to cook them correctly. I've gone back to give then a chance and it's always the same story. This area needs a really good restaurants so people can see the difference. I guess their decor helps them get customers in. That isn't even a big deal.
I've given this place a few tries and each time it was less than enjoyable. The menu is limited and every salad with the exception to the overly salty Ceaser salad comes with pork and almonds. The first time I had she crab soup and caesar salad...the soup was too thick and the salad tasted like someone wasted a whole bottle of salt on it. Exceptional food and service. We are regulars, and other than the wait, we love going to Copper River. The prices are reasonable and the food is really good! There is something on the menu for everybody in my family. (They even substitute veggies for fries on the kids meals with no problems. My girls love the collard greens!) It is hard to pick a favorite, but the shrimp mac & cheese is definitely what I order the most... And they finally offer a sweet potato which comes with a sauce on the side that is SO good. The time we had to wait was long and the place was not even busy. The food portions were small and over priced. The staff was uncaring and unfriendly. The management didn't have a clue what was going on. No one seemed to care about how the business was being run. There are many places in the same area to get good food and good service. Go to Copper River on Bower Pkwy only if you want to waste your time and your money.
