Copa Health Magna is a thoughtfully designed residential facility for youth with behavioral health challenges and complex needs. While I have not had a child there personally, I’ve had the opportunity to visit the site and was truly impressed. I was the second member ever at Copa. Yes it wasn't fun and I struggled a lot there but the truth is it's not as bad as people think. They fed us really well after the first cook left and made me actually gain weight which was much needed. I still wouldn't recommending sending your kids here if they have really bad mental health issues or drug abuse problems because I did but now that I've straightened all of my life up after I left I'm doing a lot better I will say. I don’t know about Copa, but I know a lot about what these buildings used to be… A very very very bad place for good children to be locked up in… And these buildings and grounds holds so much traumatic memories… I personally wouldn’t open a center for health in a building that has the kind of history of documented severe child abuse and deaths.
