If you think all psych units are terrible , you haven't been here. WEST 5 ENCOMPASSES ALL OF YOUR MEDICAL AS WELL AS YOUR PHYSICAL NEEDS. As you know if you've helped a loved one or if you've been in yourself. Mental illness and physical illnesses can get extremely hurt by uncompassionate care. Cooley has done well integrating the care. I have a lot of chronic physical problems as well as mental health issues. Dr Skoirchet and the rest of the staff I have encountered on West 5 have been tremendously helpful. Really great people who care about their patients and are passionate about their work.
