Erma and Jennifer are awesome at Cook Inlet Lending Center are very informational and hard working ladies! I had such a smooth experience getting a mortgage loan through them! A good reminder to not pour your life into your work because after 12 and a half years of working for someone, they will treat you as if you are nothing but replaceable and choose not to pay you your 180 hours of PTO when you leave. In this economy? No dignity whatsoever. Would not recommend working for CIHA after hearing how they treat their workers when they are leaving. You’d think an organization with “values” would do the right thing.
I lived under their property for four years. The communication is very poor. In May 2025 this company said they would help me with back rent and that they would pay my May-July. On the last day of July they withdrew funding and hit me with a $6k bill after they had stated four different CIHA employees that I would get funding and not to worry about it because they will help me. Yes they are nice and rebuilt but the communication and follow up is very poor.
I am Alaskan native widower that came to hear for help because I am needing assistance with housing. I waited one whole month to get help from these people and just because somebody failed to give me a packet in which I needed $20 mind you I waited one whole month and just because I did not have $20 the counselor That was supposed to help me before refuse to help me it was only after I talked to her supervisor where they were going to help me I shouldn't have had took it that far.
Very friendly and helpful staff with a very clean and calm environment.
