I'm ready to get a lawyer and do a private investigation as to why my housing application keeps getting denied because I am not receiving my MAIL!!
Since 1992 been on waiting list and they keep telling me to reapply and pay $20 application fee, maybe five times now. Others I know who are related and younger get chosen who applied after me. They don't follow protocol. Once they get your application fee your name is wiped clean from their books. No record that you put in an application. They won't call you, you have to call them repeatedly.
I wish I could give a negative star. The manager to front desk is trash. I stood outside the parking lot after calling for hours. To only see the front desk not have the ringer on. Then when she comes back during hours of operation she tells met case person left even though we had an appointment set. Front desk got an attitude so I told her alright I’m going to email the supervisor. Then all of a sudden the case persons there and backing her up. Cookinlet is supposed to help low income I never see that happening they worry about credit and screening when people are homeless and trying to survive, and they pick and choose what is ok to be approved, I just don’t think they help Alaskans that are struggling or trying to find homes, but does it help to post? When they continue to do what they do I’m just wondering, or do we go to someone better than them, I just don’t find them helpful.
Very poorly managed. Cook inlet housing needs a complete overhaul especially with the property management. There should be some sort of accountability for the poorly managed company. Affordable housing is a big reason many don t stay in Alaska. Its is only a matter of time there is going to be a lawsuit against this company and then maybe positive change will come.
