We’ve seen multiple doctors across various specialties at Cook Children’s, and the medical care itself has always been excellent. The doctors are professional, attentive, and great with kids. We have no complaints about the physicians themselves. However, the administrative staff continues to be a major issue. We love our Endo for our type 1. But the check in process is ridiculous. We Walk in the front door, sometimes instructed to go to a computer, other times we are told to go see a person at desk number”” for “check in” only to be told by this person they are still finishing another patient and can’t help just yet. I've been visiting a pediatrician at Cook children for 3 years for my three children regular checkup. During the recent visit for the wellness, the pediatrician asked for any other health concerns out of wellness, so I raised a concern about the nose bleeding and we had a very short conversation about it. After few weeks later, I got a bill asking for the copay which I didn't understand since the hospital usually didn't charge anything during the regular checkup in the past. Whatever you do DO NOT go to Dr. Brittany Craig Pryor! She is the most inattentive Doctor, she had us waiting at least a hour every single time we came in for a appointment. My daughter’s symptoms got worse with any medication or vitamins she put her on. She had no concern for what she was going through and was very defensive anytime we had additional questions.
