I would like to start this review off to say that the staff was nice from nurses to ED. This issue with this hospital is that they’re understaffed and the wait time is outrageous. I waited 3 hours with my little cousin to get prescribed antibiotics for her infected toe. I understand there are other children with more dire needs than my own, but every patient should still get treated equally and within a timely manner.
Something wrong with these guys in terms of communication. All the time, they send incomplete referrals and we lost much time because of the poor communications. They should hire more professional staff to help the doctors.
Worst service I’ve received. I called ahead for an emergency simply asking if they had a urologists there/on call. They stated they can’t give that information out. I unfortunately went, and once I got there they stated they do have one. 3 hrs later after testing an waiting, they want to transfer me out cause they can’t get ahold of one. Because of them wanting to bill, run tests and kill time, we received a negative result once we transferred to children’s Plano. Avoid this place like the plague.
What a joke. The GI specialist ran 2 tests and insisted on a very expensive exploratory procedure and offered no other options to figure out the cause of my daughter’s symptoms. The lab is a JOKE!! Having to wait 25 minutes to drop off a sample that’s FROZEN??? Beyond ridiculous especially since I was NOT informed before hand that I would have to wait to drop it off! Never coming back again. Will find a better pediatric GI and better facility. Leaving 2 stars only for the friendliness of staff
