Be cautious subcontracting for Cook Builders. We provided trucking services for them over a year ago and have yet to be paid. Despite repeated follow-ups and their earlier promises to remain transparent and committed to resolving payment, we've received no communication in months. As a small business, this kind of non-payment is damaging. We hope this serves as a heads-up to others considering working with them.
Full disclosure - I've never used Cook Builders. They did the remodel of a space next to one of my retail locations. While working they cut my data line which killed my Internet and phones on the busiest day of the year. We were down for a few hours and lost a fair amount of revenue. Cook took ownership of the issue and made us whole. There's something to be said for a company with integrity, and these folks have it. The space they renovated looks phenomenal too.
