a quality smog place I was in a tough spot with my registration due along with my smog certificate. My previous smog guy had failed my truck numerous times on the account of it having aftermarket parts on it. So, I then tried Convoy smog and the guy was so helpful. He took the time to look at each part and look for California emissions legal stickers, which each part had. Everything was on the up and up. Failed 1st day due to loss of memory from battery going dead, Smog Technician said to purchase a new battery, drive at least 50 miles to gain memory back and fill up at least 3/4 of a tank with gas and come back tomorrow for a FREE re test.. so gave up lunch today for a FREE re-test, then he tells me still not ready,. A great and friendly place to get a smog – I had to get my required CA Smog Test. If you are working in Kerney Mesa area and in a hurry, give them a buzz. The shop has is basically a mom/pop operation with one machine to run smog tests. The owners are foreign, but don't let you stop anyone from their American Dream! Fast, friendly, honest and modest. If you call, mention if they will knock $10 off. They did for me and total costs were shy over $50 bucks (smog test + CA Certification). Now I can head to the gents club and use... read more

DON'T TAKE YOUR CAR TO CONVOY SMOG!! – My check engine light was on when I took my car to get smogged. It failed miserably, but of course they charged me full price. When I took my car to a Toyota dealer to find out what was wrong they told me that if a check engine light is on it almost always fails smog, and that any reputable company would have told me that rather than go ahead and do the test.
