Avoid Continental Trailers and Waterland Supply: Poor Quality, Worthless Warranty, and Zero Accountability I run a kayak touring business and purchased four Continental KT-412 trailers over the past 2.5 years. Out of those, three trailers broke within eight months of purchase—all due to failures at the welding seams. The first trailer, bought in 2022, broke at the base of the rear vertical bar. Thankfully, at the time, they repaired it under warranty without much hassle. However, things have only gotten worse. Recently, two ... read more
My 3 year old custom boat trailer snapped a weld, even though I was assured that it would be more than strong enough for my use. After the break I contacted the dealer who told me Continental would be in touch, that was 3 months ago, I guess it's safe to assume Continental doesn't care. After an initial issue I worked with Phil who worked hard to change the entire experience… Thank you for solving my warranty issue in a timely manner and all the follow ups until the repair was complete. Great job guys!
DO NOT BUY CONTINENTAL TRAILERS!! I have one at Old Salt Marine in Wildwood FL with less than 2 months old and damaged axles and THEY DO NOT WANT TO ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY. The REP is the worst and is only looking who else to blame. I will pass this to my attorneys..
I have had a Continental tandem axle for 3 years now. The one I have has all stainless bolts and the rest is aluminum. Even the wheel lugs are stainless. The trailer is holding up great. Only issue was brakes but they did last about 2.5 years in salt water use. Lights still work except for the little ones on the frame. Overall it’s a decent trailer, better then the magic tilt that rusted out within 2 years and brakes that lasted 6 months.
Continental Trailers has a 2.2 star rating with 23 reviews.
Continental Trailers is closed now. It will open tomorrow at 9:00 a.m.
